Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a proven treatment for several conditions associated with chronic wounds as well as a variety of other diagnoses and conditions. WoundExpert allows providers to record and measure everything from safety assessments, complications, protocols, reauthorization alerts, and treatment tables with automated calculated dive times, to transcutaneous oxygen measurement (TCOM) results. The HBOT component can be used in conjunction with a wound care program or as a stand-alone software system delivered to non-wound care HBOT centers.

The WoundExpert Burn Management component supports a multidisciplinary team approach to optimize the quality of burn patient care. Clinicians have the ability to support and coordinate various treatment modalities such as physical therapy, nutrition, and social services. WoundExpert ensures initial assessment accuracy of the burn size and depth, while providing ongoing monitoring throughout the healing and rehabilitation process. Our Burn Management component offering supports the comprehensive electronic documentation related to the care of the burn patient.

WoundExpert supports documentation related to assessment of various stoma types with specified stoma characteristic fields. This module also includes a
multi-stoma chart which contains stoma assessment and corresponding treatment notes.

WoundExpert’s physical therapy component supports assessment of a patient’s home structure, ambulation assessment, as well as activities of daily living. Specified fields for physical therapy allow for additional evaluation of strength and range of motion. The physical therapy treatment notes provide auto-time calculations to assist with reimbursement support.

WoundExpert supports the planning of an effective patient treatment program for lymphedema therapy. A detailed evaluation by a clinician or therapist, augmented by supporting clinical and photographic documentation in WoundExpert, illustrates and supports medical necessity. WoundExpert's lymphedema therapy module automatically demonstrates the volume progression from visit to visit which will determine the efficacy of the current treatment.
