Electronic Medical Record
This premier version of WoundExpert enhances our Point of Service system by including comprehensive Physician Documentation. The Electronic Medical Record eliminates the need for costly dictation and transcription, thereby supporting an entirely paperless patient record. This solution affords objective evaluation of treatment and cost effectiveness to support evidence-based medicine and emerging pay-for-performance standards.
Key features include:
History and Physical (H&P)
WoundExpert's History and Physical component tracks complete patient history, current symptoms, and physical exam information to assist in the creation
of Initial Consults Letters, Progress Notes, and SOAP Notes. Detailed tracking of Family History, Past Medical History, and a system-by-system review helps to build an accurate Physician Superbill.
Physician Orders and Prescription Writing
Physicians Orders, Prescription Writing, and treatment guidelines facilitate selection of the most clinically appropriate products and interventions for each patient. They are entered directly into the
patient’s electronic record, eliminating costly physician dictation and transcription while reducing the error rate
associated with standard pen and paper prescription writing.
Consult Letters and Progress Notes
WoundExpert's Electronic Medical Record extracts patient and wound documentation from the H&P, Physician Orders, and Care Planning
to create professional Consult Letters and Progress Notes that can be sent to referring physicians to improve patient care
communication.
Procedure Notes
This enables thorough documentation of all procedures and creates customized Procedure Notes
to support billing activities. Required CMS documentation for debridements is automatically transferred from the physician documentation
to a Procedure Note to reduce overall documentation time.
Physician Superbill
WoundExpert's Electronic Medical Record supports the tracking of ICD9 and CPT-4 codes to construct superbills for services
delivered by physicians, extenders, and therapists. This information can be reviewed remotely and securely by the provider's
private practice or billing service.
